I have thought about this quote from Toni Morrison for some time. I think she is right, but I, like most people, rarely acted on it because I did not understand the depth of my freedom nor impact of my power. I tend to see myself as powerless if I ever even think in terms of power specific to myself. But that is not true at all, I do have the power of myself and am an adult with freedom. There is responsibilty in that.
