I think about this proverb often, especially when I’m planning for this or that. You can do all the preparation (for whatever) in the world, but preparation is nothing in the absence of substance. Sharpen your fangs all you want, so to speak, but at the end of the day you have to get that food. I take this to mean you have to make things happen. Prepare yourself so that when the time comes, you’re ready because you have preppred and you have substance and value to back it up.
